China-Russiaeast-route natural gas pipeline is thestrategic project of China’s energy security, and also the critical project ofChina’s One Belt One Road strategy. Project Brief Introduction:

Russia-China east-route natural gaspipeline began providing China with Russian natural gas, which is scheduled toreach 5 billion cubic meters in 2020 and increase to 38 billion cubic metersannually from 2024, under a 30-year contract signed between the China NationalPetroleum Corp and Russian gas giant Gazprom, Xi and Putin witnessed thesigning of the pipeline agreements in 2014 in Shanghai. The cross-border gaspipeline has a 3,000-km section in Russia and a 5,111-km stretch in China.
